Tim Lea is a consultant, coach and experienced fresh expressions practitioner, bringing together more than 25 years of experience across mission, community development, organisational change and leadership.

Tim led The Bridge in Hinckley, a fresh expression of church, for 11 years. As a second phase leader, he helped the community develop and mature, securing significant funding for organisational development, managing change and developing approaches to discipleship and engagement. Alongside this, he served as Hinckley Circuit Mission Enabler, working with 12 churches across town, rural and village contexts to develop a shared approach to mission.

Since 2013, Tim has worked as a consultant across the faith, education and voluntary sectors. His work includes coaching and mentoring, organisational development, facilitation, change management and mission consultancy. He has worked extensively with Fresh Expressions and currently contributes to the national movement through project management, networking and supporting the development of relationships across different contexts.

Tim has also worked with the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, delivering training to help local churches develop whole life discipleship and connect faith with everyday life and work.

He holds an MA in Consultancy for Mission and Ministry from York St John University, a degree in Theology from London School of Theology and a degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester. Before moving into church and community work, Tim was a research chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, an unusual background that continues to shape his thoughtful, analytical and practical approach to people, organisations and change.
