Hey ,

A quick reflection…

So, this morning, I wandered into our office and couldn’t help but spot the three massive to-do lists my wife, Ruth, had drafted. They covered an entire A2 sheet, detailing every task on the Christmas checklist for our Christian community. Bless her heart, she’s feeling quite stressed and tired already! It got me thinking about all of you who probably have your own lists and share the same weariness and stress.
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

We pray that when the dust settles you will find rest and restoration through Jesus and that you will be refreshed to begin again in the new year.

We want you to know that the fx team sees you, we are praying for you and we are for you!

What a year – Thanks for getting stuck in!

We want to thank you for your support this year. We’ve done quite a bit together and we were especially pleased to welcome Josh to the team as our intern. Some of the other highlights have been discovering the value in the Fruitfulness Framework (https://www.eidoresearch.com/fruitfulness-framework) , launching a new edition of GodSend and the accompanying website (https://godsend.cloud) . We started a new podcast (http://themissionshapedpodcast.com/) , our social channels grew in followers and we hosted our national gatherings (https://freshexpressions.org.uk/gatherings) in person and online under the themes of Leadership in the Liminal and Wayfinders. There were also plenty of other inspiring and fun events (https://freshexpressions.org.uk/events) during the year.

We thank you and we’re excited about what God’s got in store for the movement in the new year but until then,

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
